Short version: the only personal data I hold is what you send me in order to get a reply. There is no analytics, there are no cookies, and nothing is shared with anyone who is not named on this page.
Last updated 15 September 2026.
Who is responsible
Ismail Mohamed Fareed, trading as LittleMan Dev, Malé, Republic of the Maldives. I am a sole practitioner, so the person accountable for this data is the same person who answers the phone: info@littlemandev.com, +960 797 5770.
What I collect, and only when you send it
Nothing is collected from you by visiting this site. Personal data reaches me only when you choose to start a conversation:
- Through the chat at chat.littlemandev.com: your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you write in the conversation. The name, email and phone are required, because without them a conversation you close cannot be answered.
- By email, phone, WhatsApp or Telegram: whatever you send, held in the ordinary way any correspondence is held.
I use it to reply to you, to scope and quote the work, and to carry out the project if we go ahead. That is the whole list. It is not used for marketing, it is not added to a mailing list, it is not profiled, and it is not sold, rented or shared for anyone else’s purposes.
What this site does not do
Worth stating explicitly, because it is unusual enough that people assume otherwise:
- No cookies. Not one, on either littlemandev.com or chat.littlemandev.com.
- No analytics. No Google Analytics, no Tag Manager, no Plausible, no Fathom, no Matomo, nothing counting you.
- No advertising or tracking pixels. No Meta pixel, no LinkedIn insight tag, no remarketing of any kind.
- No third-party requests at all on littlemandev.com. The typefaces and every script are served from this domain rather than from Google or a CDN, so loading any page here discloses your IP address to nobody but my host. The one exception is the chat, below.
- No consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to. A banner asking permission to do nothing is theatre.
What is stored in your browser
Some things are remembered locally so the site behaves sensibly. These stay on your device, are readable only by this site, and are never transmitted to me:
- lmd-theme — whether you chose the night or day theme.
- lmd-motion — on the walkthrough, whether you asked for reduced motion.
- A conversation reference — on the chat only, an identifier and the name, email and phone you already gave, so returning in the same browser reopens your conversation instead of starting a blank one.
Clearing your browser storage removes all of them. On the chat, doing so means that browser will start a new conversation; the earlier one still exists on my side until it is deleted.
Who else can technically see it
I do not share your data, but the services that run this site necessarily handle it. These are the only ones:
- Cloudflare — serves both sites. Like every web host, it processes the IP address and request headers needed to deliver a page, and keeps short-lived operational logs.
- Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) — stores chat conversations and the contact details attached to them. Access is restricted by security rules and an authenticated administrator account that only I hold.
- Google, on the chat page only. chat.littlemandev.com loads the Firebase software library from Google’s servers in order to work at all, which means opening the chat page discloses your IP address to Google even before you type anything. That is a consequence of Firebase being the backend, and I would rather state it than let the sentence above imply otherwise. The main site does not do this. If you would prefer Google not to see that, email or phone instead — both reach me just as fast.
Both are outside the Maldives, so a conversation you start is stored on infrastructure abroad. If that is a problem for your organisation, say so and we will use email or phone instead.
How long it is kept
Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted once they are plainly dead — in practice within about twelve months. Correspondence and records relating to work I actually carried out are kept for as long as I may need them for the project, for support, and for tax and accounting obligations. You can ask me to delete sooner and I will, unless something legally requires me to keep it.
Asking to see it, correct it, or delete it
Email info@littlemandev.com and ask. You can request a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. I will respond within thirty days, and there is no charge. I will ask you to verify the request from the email address or phone number it concerns, which is the only way I can tell it is you.
Security
Both sites are served over HTTPS only, with HSTS. The chat’s stored data is protected by Firestore security rules and an administrator account with its own credentials. I am one person with a short list of services, which is a real security advantage: there is no sprawling vendor list, no shared team inbox, and nobody else with a login.
No arrangement is perfect. If something goes wrong in a way that affects you, I will tell you directly rather than hope you do not notice.
Children
This is a business-to-business site and is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
If this policy changes
The date at the top is the date it last changed. If a change is material — a new processor, a new category of data — I will not rely on you re-reading the page; anyone with an open conversation will be told.
If you are a client rather than a visitor
This page is about data I hold as the business you are contacting. When I build or host a system for you, the data inside that system is yours and I handle it on your instructions — a different relationship, set out in the client data processing note.
